Uli Decker

Author, director, lecturer. Uli Decker grew up in Murnau am Staffelsee and studied film and theater studies as well as Romance languages in London, Berlin and Madrid. After completing a Master's degree in Creative Documentary Film at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, she made short films, TV reports and documentaries. Her latest hybrid documentary ANIMA - DIE KLEIDER MEINES VATERS premiered in 2022, was shown at festivals worldwide - including the Five Lakes Film Festival 2022 - and won numerous prestigious awards - including the Bavarian Film Award 2023. Uli Decker lives in Berlin.

Sabine Lidl

Director. Born in 1970 in Seefeld, Upper Bavaria. After finishing school, trained as a make-up artist at the Münchner Kammerspiele. From 1992 freelance make-up artist for film and television. Since 2006 working as an author of documentaries (2023 DORIS DÖRRIE - DIE FLANEUSE, 2022 SIRI HUSTVEDT -THE BLAZING WORLD, 2020 HANNELORE ELSNER -OHNE SPIEL IST DAS LEBEN ZU ERNST a.o.).

Maksym Melnyk

Maksym Melnyk was born in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. After working as a journalist for a regional TV studio in Ukraine, he started studying film direction at Bratislava Academy of performing arts. He continued his studies at Babelsberg Film university Konrad Wolf where he majored in documentary film direction. In 2022 he graduated from the university with his ffeature film THREE WOMEN.

Sebastian Saam

Director. Sebastian Saam grew up in Passau in Lower Bavaria and lives in Berlin - with stops in Hamburg, Paris, Sarajevo and London. He works as a director for TV and cinema. His documentary EL ARTE DE PERDER (2022) has won several international awards and has been shown in 15 countries. His nature and discovery films for Arte are regularly selected by festivals. He also works as a freelance journalist and reporter for 3sat, ZDF and DW, among others. He likes to focus on culture and sport. From heavy metal and electro-pop to soccer culture and women's ski jumping.
