From 2014 to 2019, the Children's and Youth Film Festival was an independent section of the Five Lakes Film Festival, held in November. From 2006 to 2013 and since 2019, the Children's Film Festival was a section within the Five Lakes Film Festival.
In 2023, a separate Children's Day is planned for August 22nd with an exciting social program where children can attend workshops on make-up, trick boxing, acting and green screen.
The event is organized by the municipal youth work of the Starnberg district office and the Breitwand cinema.
In addition, selected children's films will be shown.
